Terms of use

The rules of the room, in plain English.

Who we are

Synastry Stories is operated by DAN-GABRIEL TOMESCU, an independent developer established in Romania. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the service.

Questions about these terms, or anything else, go to support@synastrystories.site or through Support. If you need our postal address, for example to serve a legal notice, ask us and we will provide it.

By using Synastry Stories you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What this is, and what it is not

Synastry Stories is an app for relationship reflection that uses astrology as symbolic vocabulary. You enter birth details; an AI generates a reading and playable scenarios. It is for reflection and entertainment.

It is not therapy, counselling, or medical care. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. It is not a compatibility test, and it is not proof of what another person feels, intends, or will do.

Astrology is not a predictive science, and we do not present it as one. Our generation is deliberately constrained to symbolic, possibility-based language, and we filter out output that asserts certainty about someone else’s inner life. Treat what you read as a prompt for your own thinking, not as a verdict on anyone.

Do not base significant decisions on it. Whether to stay in or leave a relationship, whether to trust someone, whether to confront them: those decisions deserve more than an algorithm, and they are yours to make.

We are not a crisis service

Synastry Stories is not an emergency or crisis service, and it cannot help you in an emergency. The app includes a safety check that can pause a story and show support information when your input suggests self-harm, violence, threats, stalking, or coercion. That check is a harm-reduction measure. It is not monitoring, it is not a helpline, and nobody is watching for your messages.

If you are in immediate danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away, and tell a real person you trust. In the US you can call or text 988. In the UK and Ireland you can call Samaritans on 116 123. Canada has 988. For other countries, findahelpline.com lists services by country.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old to use Synastry Stories. The service deals with adult relationship situations and is not designed or intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly allow minors to use it. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will close it.

Your account

You can use the first part of the app anonymously. If you create an account, you can sync relationships, stories, and Bridge Tools across devices. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account.

Give us accurate information, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. You can delete your account at any time from the You tab, or via Delete your account if you cannot sign in.

Acceptable use

Please do not use Synastry Stories to:

  • monitor, track, surveil, or pressure another person. This app is not a tool for watching someone, and using it to check up on, follow, or intimidate anyone is a serious breach of these terms;
  • harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone;
  • enter another person’s details in order to expose, embarrass, or coerce them;
  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-access the service, or access it through automated means other than ordinary use of the app;
  • copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or its content, or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or source code;
  • probe, scan, or test the security of the service, or interfere with it or with anyone else’s use of it, including by overloading it;
  • misrepresent AI-generated text as professional advice, or as a factual statement about another person.

Information you enter about other people

The app is built around two people, so you can enter someone else’s nickname and birth details. You are responsible for having a proper basis for doing that. Please only enter details you would be comfortable telling that person about.

Do not enter birth details, private notes, or identifying information about someone in order to share them without their knowledge. If you send someone their side of a story, remember that the link shows your nickname, the relationship type, and the scene text to whoever holds it.

If you believe someone has entered your information and you want it removed, you do not need an account to ask. Email privacy@synastrystories.site; see our Privacy Policy for what we will do.

AI-generated content

Readings, reveals, briefs, and bridge scenes are written by an AI model. They are generated for you on the spot, they can be wrong, and they can occasionally be clumsy or insensitive despite our safety filters.

AI output is not a statement of fact about you or anyone else, and it is not advice. Similar prompts can also produce similar-sounding text for different people, so do not read familiarity as accuracy. If something crosses a line, tell us through Support and we will look at it.

Your content and our content

What you write stays yours. You keep any rights you have in the notes, nicknames, and other material you enter, and in the bridge sentences and share cards generated for you. By using the service you give us permission to store, process, and display that material as needed to run the app for you and, for anything you deliberately share, to the people you share it with.

The app itself is ours. The service, its design, its story structure, its prompts and templates, and the Synastry Stories name and branding remain our property. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes, which ends if you stop complying with these terms.

Share cards and two-sided invites

Share cards and invite links are public to anyone who holds the link. Only share them with people you mean to share them with, and please be thoughtful about what you send.

Share cards are designed not to include private notes, exact birth data, or raw AI reasoning, and our server checks share-card text for names before a card is created. That check reduces risk; it does not make sharing risk-free. Do not put anything sensitive into a card.

If someone sends you a link, you may view it and add your side. By doing so you agree to these terms too. We may remove any share card or invite that breaks them.

Payments, subscriptions and refunds

Some features are paid. Where you buy inside the Android app, the purchase is processed by Google Play, and Google’s payment terms and refund policy apply to that transaction. Where you buy on the website, the purchase is processed by LemonSqueezy and their terms apply. Your card details never reach our servers.

  • One-time purchases unlock a specific item, such as an extra relationship slot or a story pack, for the account that bought it. They do not expire.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. Cancel any time through the store you bought from: Google Play or the LemonSqueezy customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the current period, and you keep access until that period ends.
  • Prices are shown before you pay, in your store’s currency, including applicable taxes. We may change prices for future periods, and where the law or the store requires it we will give you notice before a change applies to you.
  • Refunds are handled under the policy of the store you bought from, because that is who processed the payment. If something has gone wrong, contact us as well and we will try to help.

Your statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with equivalent protections, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied immediately, that right is lost once supply begins, and it is lost only if you consented to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose the withdrawal right. The store’s checkout asks for that consent before completing the purchase. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, which always override anything here that conflicts with them.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Synastry Stories available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. It may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of problems with our providers, or for reasons outside our control. AI-generated features depend on a third-party model and can fail or be rate limited.

We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a material change that significantly reduces what you paid for, we will give you reasonable notice, and if you have an active subscription you may cancel and ask for a refund for the unused part.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account whenever you like.

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if we are required to by law, or if the account is being used to harm someone. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first. Serious cases, such as using the app to stalk or threaten another person, may result in immediate removal.

If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund any unused prepaid period. Deleting your account does not remove records we are required to keep, such as tax records for purchases.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading will be accurate, useful, or suitable for your situation.

We are not responsible for what happens between you and another person. Readings and bridge sentences are suggestions. You are the one who decides what to say and do, and the consequences of those conversations are yours.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or EUR 50. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost opportunities or emotional distress arising from a relationship outcome.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that mandatory consumer law in your country does not allow us to exclude. If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory protections available to you.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, and these terms and any dispute arising from them are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence, or to rely on the mandatory consumer protections of that country.

Before going to court, please raise the issue with us first at support@synastrystories.site. We will try to resolve it directly, and most things can be sorted out that way.

If you are a consumer in the EU and we cannot resolve a dispute between us, you can turn to your national consumer protection authority, or to the European Consumer Centre for your country, for help. The European Commission’s Consumer Redress in the EU site explains the options available to you, including alternative dispute resolution bodies.

Note that the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025, so there is no longer an EU-wide online platform to file through. The national routes above are the way to proceed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the bottom of this page always shows the current version, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes in the app or by email before they take effect.

If you do not agree with a material change, you can stop using the service and delete your account. If you have a paid subscription and a change reduces what you get, you may cancel for a refund of the unused part. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce something on one occasion, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
